Warba Bank Discusses Cooperation on Sustainable Development Initiatives

A delegation from Warba Bank, led by Chairman Hamad Mosaed Al-Sayer and CEO Shaheen Hamad Al-Ghanem, met with Dr. Reem Ghazi Al-Fulaij, Minister of State for Development and Sustainability. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration on sustainability initiatives and supporting the country’s long-term development plans.

The two parties discussed key areas related to the role of sustainability in economic development, alongside exploring ways to enhance public-private partnerships in alignment with the state’s future development plans.



Public-Private Partnerships:


Chairman Hamad Mosaed Al-Sayer stated that sustainable development is now a strategic priority for financial institutions due to its direct impact on building a resilient economy capable of adapting to global shifts. "Warba Bank believes in the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors to drive development and create initiatives that deliver long-term economic and social value," Al-Sayer said. He added that the banking sector plays a pivotal role by adopting responsible initiatives and integrating sustainability across its operations and services.

Al-Sayer noted that the meeting underscores the importance of ongoing coordination between government entities and private institutions. He emphasized that building effective partnerships supports national development goals and improves the effectiveness of development initiatives.

Sustainability Within Corporate Strategy:


CEO Shaheen Hamad Al-Ghanem confirmed that Warba Bank continues to integrate sustainability into its corporate strategy by developing programs that support social responsibility, governance, and innovation.
