Key Terms & Conditions

• The account is available for individuals and in Kuwaiti Dinars only.
• A minimum deposit of KD 100 is required to open the account, and the customer can only withdraw it when the account is closed.
• Chances to enter the monthly draws are calculated based on the minimum monthly balance held in the account, provided that it is not less than KD 100.
• Every KD 10 in the account is considered one chance after completing a full calendar month.
• To be eligible for the Mega Draws, the minimum monthly balance in the account must be at least KD 500 during the month preceding the draw month.
• To be eligible for the draws, funds must be available in an existing Sunbula account by no later than 6:00 pm on the first day of the month.
• Accounts opened on or after the first day of the month will not be eligible for draws held in the following month.
• There is no upper limit to the chances of winning.
• Chances shall be calculated on the Lowest Monthly Balance in the account based on the ‘Value Date’ of the transaction (the date funds are formally credited and settled in the Bank's official system of record) will be considered instead of the transaction date.

Rules for the Exclusion of Winners:

• In case the customer wins the monthly Sunbula draws, he/she will be excluded from participating in any subsequent draws for a period of 90 days from the date of winning.
• Winners of the Mega Draws will be disqualified from participating in all Sunbula draws until 365 days have elapsed from the date of winning.
• In case the value of one prize or the total prizes won by the customer equals or exceeds KD 50,000, the customer will be disqualified for one year from the date of the last win, without being linked to a specific time period to calculate the total prizes.
• Employees, their spouses, and their relatives up to the second degree are excluded from all Warba Bank draws.
• Accounts are ineligible for the draw if the balance falls below the required minimum due to the mandatory settlement of outstanding debts, finance instalments, or the liquidation of linked collateral.

Other Controls:

• In the event that a previous customer wins a cash prize and his account with the bank is closed for any reason, whether by the customer's will or as a result of the lack of an existing banking relationship with the bank, the following procedures will be followed: (1) The bank will contact the customer using the contact details provided by the bank, and give a period of 7 days from the date of communication to reopen the account (in the same name) with the bank to disburse the cash prize.
• The bank confirms that it will not issue any cheques in favour of customers, and the prize money will not be transferred to any account with other banks under any circumstances.
• In the event that the customer does not respond within the specified time limit, or cannot be contacted through the contact details registered with the bank, the process will be documented, and the customer will be disqualified. The substitute winner will be selected according to the approved mechanism.
• In the event of the customer's death after winning the prize, or in the event of legal proceedings related to the transfer of funds, the case will be dealt with in accordance with the legal procedures approved by the bank.
• Accounts are ineligible for the draw if the balance falls below the required minimum due to the mandatory settlement of outstanding debts, finance instalments, or the liquidation of linked collateral.
• The Sunbula account is strictly limited to individuals and may not be opened or utilized for any other purposes or entities, including but not limited to heirs, Waqf, deceased's third (Thuluth), or any other non-individual legal or corporate personality.

Transparency and Oversight:

• The external audit firm KPMG Al-Qenae & Partners will be conducting the audit of the draws regardless of the prize value.
• The supervisor Grant Tronton's office would be tasked with overseeing the withdrawals and with all the necessary authority to ensure the integrity of the system.
• The draw will be live-streamed on the Warba Bank YouTube channel. , and the winners' names will be published on the website and various media.
• The prize amount will be credited to the winner's account within 2 working days after the announcement.
• Winners of the Mega Draw prizes are required to visit the bank to collect their prize and take a photo with the Corporate Communication Team. This ensures credibility and transparency as the photos are posted on the bank's official channels.
• Customers whose nationality has been revoked (and a decision has been issued against them) will continue to participate in the bank's draws, and if they win, the prize will be deposited in their account (e.g. Article Eight/ Honourable Works).
• Customers whom have falsified their nationality or those subject to directives from security or regulatory authorities (prohibition) will be excluded from the draws.
