What is the IBAN?
IBAN is an international bank account number made of 30 characters that include the country code, bank code, and the account number.It is an internationally adopted standard for processing and receiving transfers to and from local and international banks.
How can I know the IBAN number for my bank account?
You can obtain the IBAN number for your bank account through the Warba Bank App., Warba Bank’s website, Call Center or visit any of our branches.

When is the account frozen and how can I reactivate it?
The account is frozen after one year of inactivity, i.e. no banking transactions on the account.If the account is frozen, the customer has to visit any of our branches to submit an activation request. This requires a payment of an account activation commission.
When is the account dormant and how can I reactivate it?

An account is considered dormant if it remains inactive for one year (six months for the employee's account). The Customer shall visit a branch in person to reactivate the account or through the Warba Bank mobile application. The Bank reserves the right to activate a dormant account to cover any obligation of the Customer without the presence of the Customer or his legal representative. The Bank also reserves the right to close the account after one year of dormancy and transfer any available funds to other active accounts of the same customer or to the bank's internal account until the Customer claims the amount.

What are the required documents for opening an account for charitable societies and public service associations?
Islamic Charitable Associations and Donation Collection CommitteesThe articles of association, a letter from the Ministry of Social Affairs & Labor to open the account and the authorized persons to manage the account, a letter from the Public Authority for Civil Information indicating the civil number of the charitable association or committee, the original civil ID card of persons authorized to manage the account and approval by the Legal Department at Warba Bank to open the account. Public Service Associations, Cooperative Societies and Sport Clubs: The articles of association, a letter from the Public Authority for Civil Information indicating the civil number of the public service associations, cooperative societies and sport clubs and the original civil ID card of the persons authorized to manage the account.

Student Unions in Kuwait and Abroad: Articles of association, a letter from a an official body such as the Ministry of Education or Kuwait University indicating the persons authorized to manage the account, a letter from the Public Authority for Civil Information indicating the civil number of the union in Kuwait, the original civil ID card of the persons authorized to manage the account.
What are the required documents for opening an account for companies and establishments?
For Establishments: Commercial registration certificate, a letter from the Public Authority for Civil Information indicating the civil number of the establishment, the original civil ID card of each authorized signatory. For Companies The notarized memorandum of association, commercial registration certificate, a letter from the Public Authority for Civil Information indicating the civil number of the company, the original civil ID card of each authorized signatory based on the memorandum of associations as amended.
What is FATCA?
FATCA is the new US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act ratified by the US government to prevent tax evasion attempts by US citizens with accounts and investments outside the United States.
What is the maximum monthly instalment amount?
The total monthly instalments shall not exceed 40% of the net salary or income received by the customer on a monthly basis, if he is in service at the contract date. If the customer is retired, the total monthly instalment should not exceed 30% of the net monthly income.
What are the documents required for Consumer Finance?
Original valid Civil ID, original recent salary certificate, salary continuation, Price quotation, account statement for the last 3 Months (6 months for the private sector), and a passport copy for expatriates customers only.
