Warba wins the Best Digital Savings Application Award – Hassala in Kuwait 2022 from the International Finance magazine

KUWAIT, January 2023

As a result of the Bank’s digital strategy, which aspires to provide digital banking solutions in which the Bank is closer to its clients, and the outstanding performance provided by the Bank and the growth of its escalating digital banking operations in 2022, Warba Bank recently received an award from the “International Finance Magazine”, which is the “Best Digital Savings Application” ‘Hassala’- in Kuwait 2022.



The evaluation of the magazine adopted a deep analytical method as an electronic resource that helps readers to fully understand the driving forces of the market. Its awards are based on market developments and the performance of the economic forces. It presents an essential reference for readers that shed light on market changes, giving them a clear idea of the complex economic procedures taking place in the global business community.



Commenting on the award, Mr. Abdullah Naser Al-Shuail - Senior Director Branches and Retail Banking Group at Warba Bank said: “Awarding Warba Bank confirms the development of its digital banking products and services and its leadership in the digital banking sector, as well as the Bank’s achievements during 2022, which reflects the path of the Bank's digital strategy. He added that "Warba" was able, during this period, to offer digital banking services and products that greatly strengthened the Islamic banking sector and met with modern technology, which is today the most demanded by clients.



Al-Shuail added that the Bank, during the year 2022, worked to enhance its digital services, which witnessed an unprecedented increase in the customer base of Warba Bank of those who use electronic banking solutions, whether through the Bank’s website on the Internet or through the services of the Warba application on smart phones, pointing out that this was linked to the significant growth in the number of customers and, accordingly, the number of banking operations using all channels, which has doubled in recent years.



Al-Shuail concluded that Warba Bank focuses on what it provides to clients in terms of innovative digital banking products and services, which are designed according to requirements of customers and their various lifestyles, explaining that "Warba Bank" has succeeded in achieving great leaps in providing distinguished banking products and services in local market.



The Hassala service, it is one of the digital services for users of the Warba Bank application, and the service is a smart savings system that helps the client to set a savings goal and achieve it through innovative savings methods, most notably "Kharda", which is a way to directly transfer all coins (Fils) available in your account daily, in addition to automated transfer, recharge options and several other methods.



Warba Bank succeeded, shortly after its founding, in establishing its position in the banking sector, and occupied a leading position in the field of Islamic digital banking services for individuals, and is considered the most local bank with the number of shareholders base from members of society, which makes it close to them by providing the best banking services.
