As part of its continued commitment to supporting national institutions and developing future diplomats, Warba Bank sponsored the graduation ceremony of the 10th and 11th training batches (2024/2025) from the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute. The event was held under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, and attended by His Excellency Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Diplomatic Institute, Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, as well as senior officials, diplomats and media representatives.
Warba Bank was represented at the ceremony by Mr. Hamad Musaed Al-Sayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Anwar Bader Al-Ghaith, Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Support Services and Treasury.
During the ceremony, the Bank presented a commemorative gift to His Highness the Prime Minister, the first coin ever minted in Kuwait in 1886, during the reign of the late Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Sabah Al-Sabah, in appreciation of His Highness’s gracious patronage of the event and his continued support for developing specialized national talent.
This marks Warba Bank’s third sponsorship of the Institute’s graduation ceremony, reflecting the Bank’s long-standing partnership with the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute and its commitment to supporting national and diplomatic efforts in preparing and qualifying Kuwaiti talents to represent the country in regional and international forums. As part of its sponsorship, the Bank provided the Institute with comprehensive logistical support, including sound, lighting, stage setup and media hospitality, reaffirming its dedication to the success of national events that celebrate and empower Kuwaiti youth.
On this occasion, Mr. Hamad Musaed Al-Sayer, Chairman of Warba Bank, expressed his pride in the Bank’s sponsorship, stating: “We are honored to sponsor the graduation of these two new batches of Kuwaiti diplomats, who now proudly represent Kuwait on the global stage. Their success embodies the nation’s distinguished image abroad and reflects the values of dedication, excellence, and patriotism that define our people.”
He added: “This partnership with the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute underscores Warba Bank’s commitment to supporting Kuwait’s national institutions and promoting constructive cooperation between the public and private sectors. By investing in human capital, we are helping prepare future leaders who will shape the nation’s progress and address emerging global challenges.”
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 20 diplomats who completed a one-year intensive training program, qualifying them to represent Kuwait across various international missions and diplomatic platforms.
Beyond sponsoring the graduation ceremony, Warba Bank and the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute maintain a strategic partnership under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aims to develop advanced training programs for national cadres in the diplomatic corps and strengthen capacity-building across both government and private institutions. This collaboration is built on the shared principles of quality, integration and sustainability.
Al-Sayer added: “Warba Bank’s role extends beyond being a financial institution. It is a genuine partner in shaping Kuwait’s future. Our investment is not limited to financial contributions; it’s an investment in minds and national talents. We firmly believe that the greatest investment of all is in human capital, equipping it with knowledge, skill and dedication, capable of driving cultural and developmental progress.”
