For the sixth year in a row, Warba Bank launches a competition to memorize the Holy Qur’an for the children of its employees to raise a generation of memorizers of the holy book and to realize its sublime meanings and messages, which are considered a spiritual reference for all aspects of life.
This competition comes as part of Warba Bank’s social responsibility program during the holy month of Ramadan, organized annually to spread the principles of Islamic culture, especially among the younger generation, as more than 70 memorizers of employees’ children will participate in this competition for this year.
The competition is divided for boys and girls into three categories, the first category includes contestants from 5 to 7 years old, the second category from 8 to 10 years old, and the third category from 11 to 14 years. Three winners will be selected from each category, who will receive material prizes to encourage them for their effort in memorizing the Quranic chapters, while all participants will receive certificates of appreciation.
In this context, Dr. Essa Jasim Al-Qassar, Executive manager of the Sharia Department, said: “As an Islamic financial institution that operates in accordance with the provisions of the tolerant Islamic Sharia, we seek to instill the principles and teachings of the true Islamic religion through its Holy Book in the young generations, so that it serves as their main reference in all matters of their lives, as it contains fair legislation that shows them the best way to deal with the various aspects of their lives.
Al-Qassar added: “Warba Bank pays special attention to its workforce, as it considers them the main partner in the Bank’s success and development process. Therefore, it was necessary for us to allocate space for them among the targeted and constructive activities and events that Warba Bank organizes during the blessed month of Ramadan. This makes it easier for employees to spend time with their families, and also spreads the spirit of fair competition among the participants in this contest.”
