Key Updates in the NEW Warba Cashback Program:
  • Revised Monthly Cashback Caps: Monthly cashback caps have been updated per eligible segment
  • New Minimum Spends Threshold: Cashback will be calculated starting from 250, while previously, it started from 100
  • Higher International Cashback: Enjoy up to 10% cashback on international transactions (previously 6%)
  • Higher Local Cashback: Earn up to 5% cashback on local transactions (previously 3%)
 
Terms and Conditions: Warba Cashback Program
  1. The minimum monthly spending required to qualify for the Cashback Program is 250.
  2. Cashback eligibility is based on the customer’s segment as of the first day of the calendar month. If a customer is newly segmented or newly onboarded after the month begins, their transactions for that month will not earn cashback.
  3. Customers not classified under the eligible segments are not included in the Cashback Program.
  4. The maximum cashback limit for personal transactions is applied based on the customer’s segment at Warba Bank. The monthly maximum limit is 1,000 for Private Banking, 750 for Royal Banking, 450 for Priority Banking, and 150 for Primary Banking.
  5. The cashback amount is based on the eligible personal transactions posted during the month, as posting might take up to 15 days. If the posting date falls in the following month, the transaction will be counted in that consecutive month.
  6. Qualified personal transactions are those performed using eligible cards through point-of-sale terminals both locally and internationally and online payment gateways. Cash withdrawals are excluded.
  7. The cashback amount will be calculated at the end of each month and rewarded in the form of points deposited into the customer’s digital “Pocket” wallet within the Bank’s mobile application. The customer may redeem these points for cash or other offers and discounts.
  8. Cashback points accumulated from both primary and supplementary card transactions will be deposited into the primary cardholder’s digital “Pocket” within 5 working days after month-end.
  9. There is no minimum value for a single transaction, all transactions are considered regardless of their value.
  10. Transactions that involve amount holds (such as hotel reservations or car rental pre-authorizations) are not eligible for cashback only until the transaction is executed and posted.
  11. When calculating cashback, the total amount of cancelled transactions is deducted from the total eligible spends. This includes not only regular refunds, but also any reversal transactions resulting from (tax refunds).
  12. Cancelled or reversed transactions will not be considered. If a transaction is reversed after cashback has been rewarded, the Bank retains the right to deduct equivalent points or amounts.
  13. Warba Bank reserves the right not to consider cashback accumulated from non-personal usage, including business operations or corporate expenses.
  14. In cases where the Bank suspects non-personal or irregular transactions, the Bank may hold the cashback amount for 50 days from the end of the month.
  15. Warba Bank retains full authority to review submitted documents and consider only the personal transactions.
  16. Transactions related to trading in cryptocurrencies or FOREX/Margin trading platforms will not be considered.
  17. Payments made to charitable organizations are not eligible for cashback.
  18. If the customer cancels their card, they will still receive cashback for eligible transactions made prior to cancellation.
  19. Transactions at merchant categories non-compliant with Sharia principles will be excluded.
  20. Pocket Points are valid for 12 months from the earning date. Expired points cannot be reinstated.
  21. Warba Bank reserves the right to amend these terms with prior notice of one month.
  22. Cashback eligibility is determined based on the Merchant Category Code (MCC). Incorrect classifications are not the Bank’s responsibility.
