Warba Bank launched an initiative to mark International Earth Day, distributing seedlings containing seeds of the "Arfaj" -Kuwait's national flower- as a tribute to front-line workers. The initiative promotes environmental sustainability and the preservation of local natural heritage.
The seedlings were distributed across several branches, including Jaber Al-Ahmad, Al-Shuhada, Jaber Al-Ali, and Adailiya. The campaign aimed to encourage the planting of Arfaj and promote local green spaces, strengthening the connection to Kuwait’s environmental identity.
Abdullah Nasser Al-Shuail, Senior Director of Branches at Warba Bank, said "the bank’s role extends beyond banking services to include active contributions to environmental programs with a lasting impact".
"Through this initiative, we express our appreciation for front-line workers while connecting this global occasion with a national message focused on environmental care," Al-Shuail said. He added that the bank remains committed to adopting impactful initiatives that promote shared responsibility toward a more environmentally conscious society.
The initiative highlights the symbolic importance of the Arfaj as a key wild plant linked to Kuwait's environmental heritage. By distributing these seedlings, the bank aims to raise awareness about the preservation of local vegetation, aligning with national efforts to protect natural resources.
Warba Bank continues to implement a range of programs across humanitarian, environmental, and developmental sectors. These efforts reinforce the bank’s commitment to community partnerships that create a lasting and sustainable impact.
