Yusuf joined Warba Bank in 2014 and has been instrumental in the set-up & development of the International Banking division that manages Structured Finance & Syndication, Debt Capital Markets, and Financial Institutions.

He has vast experience working in the Banking industry dealing in Structured Finance, Project Finance, Asset Finance, Sukuk, and Local and International Syndication lines of businesses. His expertise spans structuring and syndication of various finance and investment instruments among local (Kuwait) and international financial institutions. This covers several types of Islamic finance as well as several sectors.

Prior to joining Warba Bank, he worked with Kuwait Finance House where Yusuf had accumulated vast experience in the above-stated fields. Further, he has worked with Ahli United Bank, KPMG, and a few other companies early in his career.

Yusuf is a qualified Chartered Accountant from India and holds Islamic finance Qualification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Walid Achour leads a team of investment professionals that manage the bank’s Asset Management Activities at Warba Bank. He has also spent the last five years at Warba Bank overseeing the proprietary investments of the Bank. Walid is a seasoned investment banker with over 16 years of experience in the field of finance and investments.

Prior to Warba, Walid was overseeing the Investment Banking division at Arab Investment Company where he advised on multiple debt and equity transactions worth more than USD 1 billion. Previously he worked at Rasameel Structured Finance as part of the structuring and analytics team and KIPCO Asset Management Company as part of the research team. Before moving to investment banking, he spent four years working in the Detroit automotive industry as an engineer for Takata International and Magna Closures.

Walid has obtained numerous professional certifications in the field of investment banking, financial modelling and Islamic Finance. He graduated with BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, USA.

Mohammad Jalal Uddin is responsible for both international and local real estate investments. He joined Warba Bank in 2016, bringing over 35 years of experience in investments, corporate banking, and finance. His experience includes 19 years working in international real estate investments across the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Prior to joining Warba Bank, he worked for 15 years at Kuwait Finance House, where he held a number of senior real estate investments positions, including Vice President of Global Real Estate Investment at KFH Capital, Vice President of International Real Estate Investments at KFH Real Estate, and Senior International Real Estate Investments Manager.

He is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA) and holds a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

George Abraham joined Warba in 2020, bringing over 11 years of experience in investment management, capital markets, and advisory.

Prior to joining Warba, he led KSK Capital, a single-family office in Dubai and was responsible for formulating and managing the investment process of its portfolio invested into global fixed income, equities, and real assets. He started his career as an analyst with Goldman Sachs Asset Management based in New York and then relocated to London to work with Barclays Capital in emerging markets credit. He moved to the GCC region in 2009 and joined Kuwait Financial Centre, wherein he held a number of senior roles within Corporate and Structured Finance, and as Acting Head of the International Investments group overseeing proprietary and fiduciary assets invested globally.

He holds an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MSc in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA charter holder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Ziad El Khoury joined the bank in March 2023, bringing with him over 17 years of extensive experience in the banking and financial sector. Prior to his current role, he served as the Head of Investment Services at Gulf Bank for 14 years, where he led strategic initiatives and delivered innovative investment solutions. He also held a leadership position at Midclear Lebanon, where he managed critical operational services for three years.

Ziad is highly credentialed, holding several professional certifications, including Certified Valuation Analyst and Leading High-Performance Teams, showcasing his commitment to continuous professional development.  

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Notre Dame University – Lebanon, combining technical expertise with financial acumen to drive excellence in fiduciary services and online trading.  

In his current role, Ziad is focused on delivering innovative, client-centric solutions while ensuring the highest standards of trust and integrity.

Ayman joined the bank in Oct 2022 to leverage the DCM capabilities at the Bank and expand Warba Bank’s presence and outreach internationally in Debt Capital Markets. In addition to primary markets, Ayman is responsible of managing Warba Bank’s Sukuk proprietary book.

Ayman brings in 20 years of extensive experience in Sukuk and global markets and thorough knowledge in GCC  and Turkey  fixed income markets where he played various roles throughout previous careers at Optimum Invest, BLC Bank and First National Bank in Fixed Income Portfolio Management and Brokerage.

He holds a diploma in higher studies in Financial Asset Management, a maîtrise in Business Administration and Management and a bachelor in Business Administration and Management from Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon. He also holds a qualification in Islamic Finance from CISI – Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment – UK, Equity Certificate, Fixed Income Certificate and FX Certificate from Bloomberg L.P.
