As part of its social responsibility and sponsoring national campaigns, especially for cleaning beaches, Warba Bank participated in a one-day campaign to clean Um Al Maradim Island, in cooperation with Dive36 Center and Ocean minded. The participating teams cleaned all surrounding beaches of the island.
Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Mr. Ayman Salem Al-Mutairi, said: "This beach cleaning initiative is part of the summer campaigns for cleaning Kuwait's beaches. during this summer, the Bank will be participating in more than one beach cleaning". Al-Mutairi added: “This initiative by Warba Bank is not only a cleaning initiative; but rather, an awareness for beach visitors to respect the laws and to keep beaches clean.”
Over 50 divers also participated in cleaning waste at the seabed to preserve the environmental system and reach safe environment, responding to the calls made by the public and private sectors. And the Bank will continue to support all campaigns during the summer period.
It's worth mentioning that Dive36 is a center that organizes sea trips and offers diving courses by certified trainers in Kuwait. And Ocean minded is a non-profit organization that aims to change the behavior of people in Kuwait towards the sea and its activities through preserving the ecosystem in Kuwait.
