Warba Bank announced the promotion of Mr. Thuwaini Khaled Al-Thuwaini, President of the Investment Banking Group. The Bank's announcement follows the Group's successes under the management of Al-Thuwaini and its clear impact on the Bank's investment and financing operations in Kuwait and abroad. Al-Thuwaini has a long history of high-level professional experience and has previously held a number of pivotal positions in leading financial and banking institutions that culminated in 2015 with the Warba Bank as Acting President-Investment Banking Group.
Congratulating Al-Thuwaini on the new position, the Bank’s management affirmed its appreciation for his long-standing professionalism, which had a clear impact on the Bank's achievements in high-quality investment and financing operations in the local and global markets, including participation in financing facilities for regional and international financial and economic entities; as well the Group secured a remarkable growth for the Bank real estate investments portfolio through a series of acquisitions in key international markets by the end of 2018. That is in addition to the Group excellence in managing the Bank’s strategic investments through a range of assets. The Bank's management wished Al-Thuwaini success in his new duties and expressed confidence that the Investment Banking Group will highly contribute to moving the Bank to new dimensions of expansion and prosper.

Al-Thuwaini holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, USA and has extensive experience in banking and finance.
