With the Holy month of Ramadan approaching, the month of forgiveness and mercy; Warba organized an Omrah trip to the Holy lands for the Bank's employees and their families from April 27 to 29, 2017. The Bank's initiative stems from its prime objective to provide its employees with the opportunity to fulfill the teachings of the Islamic religion within the framework of the Bank's social and religious activities.
The trip, being the first organized by the Bank for its employees, is to be an annual tradition. The Bank's initiative witnessed a strong response amongst the employees; whereas more than 40 employees from various departments, and their families joined. The trip involved visiting Mekkah and completing the Omrah rituals, followed by competitions that combined an atmosphere of both friendship and religious knowledge among the staff, in which the winners were rewarded with symbolic prizes.
Regarding this initiative, the bank confirmed that the trip supervisors were keen on providing all kinds of support, while ensuring the ideal atmosphere required for this religious journey of purity and self-peace. The involvement of the families of the staff helped to create a friendly and family environment that in turn strengthened the spiritual bonds.
