In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Kuwait, Warba Bank has partnered with the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity to launch a dedicated summer club for the children of the Bank’s employees. This initiative stems from Warba’s belief that human investment begins at a young age and aims to nurture creativity, innovation and skills development among youth through a series of interactive and educational workshops.
The week-long summer program features four distinct tracks targeting two age groups: 7 to 10 years old and 11 to 14 years old. The program is thoughtfully designed to blend learning with fun, offering hands-on workshops that integrate innovative scientific content with an engaging recreational experience. It aims to foster creative thinking, develop digital and interpersonal skills, help participants discover and hone their talents early on and encourage teamwork and exploration in a dynamic educational environment.
Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Maali Abdullah Al-Rasheed, Group Chief Human Resources & General Services Officer at Warba Bank, said: “At Warba Bank, we believe that growth and education should extend beyond our employees to include their families and children. They are an integral part of our institutional fabric. Through this summer initiative, we aim to offer children a rich and enjoyable educational experience that empowers them to discover their potential and enhance their skills in a safe and inspiring environment.”
She added: “Our partnership with the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity forms the foundation of this program. The Center’s specialized experience in talent development and innovation among youth aligns perfectly with Warba’s vision of building a better future starting with our children.”
This summer program reinforces Warba Bank’s commitment to its human-centric values and institutional identity, which places people at the heart of its strategy. It also promotes a positive workplace culture and strengthens internal community bonds. Furthermore, initiatives like this reflect the Bank’s stability and its holistic support of the Warba family, enhancing customer trust and solidifying the Bank’s image as a community-focused institution.
This initiative builds upon the strategic partnership between Warba Bank and the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity. The Bank previously collaborated with the Center to support talented Kuwaiti students who participated in the Web Summit hosted in Qatar. Warba’s Head of Business Banking was part of the judging panel that selected eight finalists from 20 applicants who presented innovative projects at one of the region’s leading tech events.
In another joint effort, Warba and the Center co-hosted tech visionary Bertrand Nepveu, renowned for his role in developing pioneering innovations including the Apple Vision Pro, during his visit to Kuwait and the Middle East to share his groundbreaking insights into the world of technology and creative industries.
Warba Bank has achieved remarkable success in a short span of time, earning a leading position in the Islamic digital banking sector in Kuwait. With one of the largest shareholder bases among local banks, Warba Bank continues to be a trusted partner that brings together innovation and social responsibility to deliver best-in-class Sharia-compliant products and services.
