Warba Bank announced signing a partnership and sponsorship agreement with the Kuwait Esports Club. According to this agreement, the Bank will be the official and primary sponsor of the Club and will support its activities and sporting events. This step comes from Warba Bank's keenness to get closer to the youth through their hobbies, and to increase awareness and interest in electronic sports, as part of its social responsibilities, and its endeavor to achieve sustainable development.
On this occasion, Mr. Ayman Al-Mutairi - Director Marketing and Corporate Communications said: “We at Warba Bank are happy to sign this partnership, and we are very optimistic, because together we will add to electronic gaming platforms everything that is suitable for the benefit of players, teams and content creators.”
For his part, Abdullah Musaed Al-Ali, Chairman of the Kuwait Esports Club, said, "This initiative is the first of its kind, as Warba Bank has become an official and primary sponsor of the Kuwait Esports Club, and this contributes to interest in positive social activities including competitions, actual motivation and social interactive communication”. He explained that these games are often considered as entertainment only, which is not accurate, as many studies have shown that online multiplayer e-sports platforms provide an important space for social interaction and mental stimulation.
Al-Ali stated that global and regional indicators monitor the quality of social activities among adolescents with a lack of social and mental activities during free time, indicating that Warba Bank aims through this cooperation to create an attractive virtual experience that encourages players to interact and compete in their favourite e-sport.
Al-Mutairi pointed out that Warba Bank, as part of its social responsibilities, puts all its capabilities to exploit the energy of Kuwaiti youth, which needs the right opportunities to play a vital role in the process of development and progress in Kuwait. He explained that Warba Bank remains the closest to the youth and is keen to meet their aspirations and keep pace with them in the most modern and developed ways. It also seeks to develop and diversify its services in line with their various needs, as its presence in such attractive sports initiatives represents an opportunity to enhance its support for youth and establish bridges of communication with them.
Al-Mutairi concluded his statement saying that such initiatives reflect Warba's commitment to providing everything that Kuwaiti youth needs, especially in sports, due to the vital and active role that this group represents in society. He stressed that Warba attaches great importance to spreading sports culture in general to all students of schools, institutes and universities, raising awareness of the importance of sports and getting to know closely the interests of young people.
Warba Bank succeeded, after a short period of its establishment, in highly positioning itself in the banking sector, and occupied a leading position in the field of Islamic digital banking services for individuals, as it is considered the local bank with the highest number of shareholder base from members of society, which makes it the closest bank to them by providing the best banking services. It has met the aspirations of the Kuwaiti society and deservedly earned their trust in a short period.
