Warba Bank, in cooperation with Al Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works, contributed to distributing school supplies to needy families inside Kuwait within the “School Bags and Clothes for Our Students Sons and Daughters” exhibition, organized by Al Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works in the presence of the Chairman Dr. Nabil Al-Oun, and a team of volunteers in this event held from September 6 to 10, The event was a great success and provided many school needs and supplies to needy families and students.
Regarding the arrangements for distributing “back to school” supplies in cooperation with Al Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works, the Director Marketing and Corporate Communications at Warba Bank, Ayman Salem Al Mutairi, said: The idea of distributing school supplies to needy families coincided with the “back to school” season, as this initiative comes from the Bank’s belief in the necessity of helping and assisting needy families inside Kuwait and contributing to providing school clothing for the sons and daughters of these families, alleviating their burdens of living, and bringing joy and happiness to their hearts.
He continued that the Bank is keen to devote the concept of voluntary social work and contribute to various humanitarian and charitable activities within a social program that supports charitable and humanitarian initiatives directed to the neediest groups, as there are specialized committees that carefully study these cases by Al Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works.
He pointed out that Warba's efforts in social responsibility are in line with its strategy to achieve sustainable development, and reflect its aim to continue its social role as a leading financial institution in the private sector, emphasizing the continuation of social and volunteer work and the increased efforts within programs full of initiatives and activities, in a way that serves all segments of society.
For his part, the Chairman of the Al Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works, Dr. Nabil Al-Oun,, appreciated the role of “Warba” in supporting various projects launched by Al Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works inside Kuwait, indicating that this part of the Bank’s social responsibility.
