Warba launches awareness guidelines to support the "Let's be aware" campaign

Warba Bank continues its support and active contributions to the "Let's Be Aware" campaign during the year 2023, which is an awareness campaign initiated by the Central Bank of Kuwait and the Kuwait Banking Association, to highlight the rights of clients and educate them regarding dealing with banks, as part of its commitment to educate clients about their rights, and how to maintain their accounts and savings.



The client’s rights awareness campaign targets the areas of personal finance, whether consumer or housing financing, the procedure for filing complaints about banking services, various bank cards, ways to avoid exposure to fraud, awareness of the risks that clients may be exposed to, high-risk investments, and awareness of the rights of clients with disabilities. It also deals with tips related to cyber security and protecting bank accounts, as well as clarifying procedures for filing complaints, while explaining the duties of the banking sector and its role in stimulating and developing the economy.



Regarding this campaign, Ayman Salem Al-Mutairi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Warba Bank, said: “We are keen at Warba Bank to spread financial culture, and the culture of saving and investment, in addition to educating clients and partners about the services and products of Islamic banks. and how to benefit from it, by publishing educational materials and awareness leaflets on social media platforms and all electronic channels of the bank, to highlight the rights of clients and educate them about their rights and obligations when dealing with banks.



Al-Mutairi continued, saying: “Warba Bank is keen to carry out such campaigns and banking awareness programs, as it presents these initiatives regularly on social media, in addition to sending messages through the Warba Online application and sending text messages (SMS), emphasizing Warba Bank's commitment to support sustainability at the societal and economic levels, through initiatives that are strategically selected for the benefit of the Bank in particular, and the country in general. The Bank also holds periodic competitions through radio stations with the aim of community awareness.



Al-Mutairi pointed out that "Warba" is constantly organizing many training courses for its employees to raise their expertise in the field of fraud and combating financial crimes, especially electronic ones, and urges them to transfer this information in a simplified and focused manner to clients and partners through direct contact, at service provision sites and through social media tools and channels, pointing out that "Warba" intensifies its messages related to the campaign to employees in order to benefit from their direct communication with clients, to achieve maximum effective awareness and achieve the goals of the campaign.



Al-Mutairi stated that "Warba" aims, through a series of messages addressed to employees, in the same field of educating clients, to achieve the maximum possible goals set within the campaign that will continue until the end of this year, and with the highest level of effectiveness, as it relies on the ability of communication and direct meeting between employees and clients to deliver a number of basic messages related to enhancing the credit, financial and banking culture of clients and thus its transmission and inclusion to the whole society.



Al-Mutairi concluded: “Recently we were keen to cooperate with all relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, to provide guiding advice on cyber security, especially for the Bank clients, to protect their bank accounts from hacking in light of the development of hacking operations and their use through mobile devices, in addition to social media platforms. During the month of January, Warba Bank adopted a weekly awareness bulletin through the Bank's platforms on social media, to update the campaign advice.”



The Central Bank of Kuwait, in cooperation with the Kuwait Banking Association, launched the banking awareness campaign addressed to the public “Let's Be Aware” as part of its social responsibility towards bank clients, and to enhance bank clients’ awareness of the most important banking services provided to them, in order to achieve safety of transactions and enhance financial inclusion and monetary and economic stability through comprehensive awareness of the rights and obligations of clients, as well as introducing the advantages of electronic financial transactions and ways to avoid the risks resulting from them, represented in strengthening protection and achieving cyber security to protect the interests, savings, and wealth of society.



Shortly after its founding, Warba Bank succeeded in establishing its position in the banking sector and occupied a leading position in the field of Islamic digital banking services for individuals, as the Bank's shareholder base is considered the largest among local banks.
