Warba Bank announced its support and sponsorship of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University, as part of its non-profit goals, which seek to develop the practical and scientific side of students, develop the student's personality, and provide them with experience for the future labour market.
Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Warba Bank, Ayman Salem Al-Mutairi, said that this sponsorship of ASME is part of the Bank’s social responsibility and keenness to provide continuous support to students and youth and encourage them to scientific research and innovation, especially the distinguished among them who prove that they are indeed the hope and future of Kuwait during the current and future developments that depend on young people in all fields.
The sponsorship of the ASME included several activities for students within the mechanical engineering field, including educational courses and competitions related to their study, in addition to providing them with all educational needs during the academic year.
Al-Mutairi added that Warba Bank is at the forefront of local banks that provide support to young people due to the importance of the role of young people in building the future, especially among those from fields such as engineering, medicine, science, technology and others.
In the same context, Al-Mutairi stressed that such sponsorships come from the social responsibility of Warba Bank, especially for the Bloom segment, which is the age category between 15 and 25 years of the Bank’s clients.
The BLOOM account for youth offers an appreciative reward for outstanding students who have a semester average (GPA) of 3.5 or more out of 4 points in the amount of KD 50 deposited in the form of points in the “Pocket” loyalty program available on the Warba Bank application. In addition to the free issuance and renewal of a prepaid VISA card with a refund rate of up to 3%, with a maximum refund value of KD150 in the form of points in Pocket.
